The Huawei CGUF is a 16-port XG-PON service board designed for the MA5800 series Optical Line Terminal (OLT) equipment. It is specifically engineered for fiber access networks to deliver 10-gigabit-class broadband access.

XG-PON Technology: Supports 16 ports of XG-PON (10G-PON), with each port capable of symmetric or asymmetric rates. Typical downstream rates reach up to 10 Gbps, and upstream rates up to 2.5 Gbps, making it ideal for high-bandwidth services such as HD video, virtual reality, and big data transmission.
Dual-Mode Coexistence: Features dual-mode capability, supporting both XGS-PON (symmetric 10G PON) and legacy G-PON (Gigabit PON) simultaneously. This enables smooth network upgrades while protecting existing G-PON investments.
Enhanced Optical Performance: Utilizes XG-PON C+ optical modules with a higher optical power budget. This supports larger split ratios (e.g., 1:256), reducing fiber resource consumption.
Power & Compatibility: Has a typical power consumption of approximately 60W. It must be used with compatible MA5800 chassis models (such as MA5800-X15/X7), relying on the chassis for power supply and thermal management.
Application Scenarios: Widely applicable for enterprise private line access, data center interconnection, 5G fronthaul/midhaul, and broadband deployment in large residential communities, meeting demands for high bandwidth and low latency.
